Random Updates
A few weeks ago Mom Dad, and Matt (my cousin) came over for dinner. I am so excited that Matt lives here now while he is going through med school :)
Last month Chase did the Lotoja Bike race with Nic, Ryan and Marshal. The race starts in Logan UT, and ends in Jackson, WY. I was not able to go, but from what I heard and pictures that I saw, everyone had a great time. I am so proud of all of them! This is a picture of Chase before he left with his truck loaded and ready to go :)

Crafts
*One Lesson that I taught in Young Women's was called, "Sharing Work in the Home". The lesson was all about doing your part in keeping the house clean and doing chore. Anyways, I found this idea from a website called Sugardoodle.net where they used a sponge and created a cute hand out. Well, I took this idea and made up my own thing. The girls loved it, and the next Sunday they call told me that they used their sponge to help clean the house. It was too cute!

Birthday Fun
This birthday started out with a wonderful dinner with my family that is here in AZ (Amber, Nic, and Gavin) and my good friend Curt and of course my best friend and husband. We went to Fajita's, one of my favorite restaurants here in Phoenix. Dinner was fun, then my sister surprised me and made me a cake! She made Italian cream cake from scratch! And it was delicious! And of course we had candy cane ice cream (it's been a tradition for as long as I can remember since candy cane ice cream only comes out in December).
This fun dinner happened on Thursday, when in fact my birthday was on Saturday; because Chase and I where leaving Friday to go to his parents house in Utah, we celebrated my b-day early....well, I was wrong. Turns out that Chase surprised me and we made a stop on our way to his parents house at the Grand Canyon for my birthday!!!!!!!!!! Ever since we moved to AZ, I have been telling Chase how bad I want to go see the Grand Canyon, and we never went, so he gave me an amazing surprise!!!! I loved it! It's breath taking, and the pictures don't do any justice to how beautiful it really is. We stayed at El Tovar, a small hotel built in 1905. It is absolutely beautiful, and right on the edge of the canyon. We where freezing because there was snow, but had SO much fun! If you go to El Tovar, make sure to eat at the restaurant there, some of the best food I have ever had!
